The game client describes Comprehension: "Higher comprehension skill allows more powerful magical scrolls to be deciphered. Scrolls can be found throughout the world and are consumed when read, granting a variety of beneficial effects." Comprehension is new in WoW Forever: the Classic Era client has no Comprehension skill. The client lists 7 Comprehension recipes, the highest turns grey at 300, and 17 items require Comprehension, up to skill 175. Every item that requires Comprehension carries the client description "A Mage can decipher this with their Comprehension skill."
